The Internet, smartphones, tablets and Social Media have added another dimension to how EMGs can communicate with the gardening public. Social Media provides a unique way to connect with the gardening public, allows for interaction with non-traditional Extension audiences who utilize the internet as a source of information, and allows clientele to access Extension resources when, where and how they need it.
This training site was developed for Extension Master Gardener volunteers, coordinators, and extension specialists/agents to implement social media into their programs. It is a way for volunteers to learn how to use social media to share research based gardening information through social media conversations with the gardening public.
If you want to learn basic knowledge related to the use of social media on behalf of your EMG program to help provide consistent messaging, support the EMG brand, and increase engagement and reach for the program, then visit their website.
